Dear sir,
I am writing this letter to draw your attention to utter annoyance caused by garbage collection system.
To begin with, my name is James and I am a resident of Indianagar where door to door waste collection tricycle is not coming regularly on its pre-decided days. A garbagemen sometime skip our area and forget to collect our litter bins. Moreover, sometime when they come to segregate our waste, tricycle seems pre-loaded. As a result, we can not empty our bin timely.
With respect to these irregularities, I along with my neighbors face tremendous problems. Overflowing of dustbins causes bad odour and air pollution. As a consequence, local people are suffering from respiratory diseases as contaminants are absorbed from lung by other body parts. Additionally, mosquitoes are increasing in our area because they find place to breed. Thereby, malaria and typhoid cases are noted.
However, these problems are not insurmountable. The waste management department should recruite more sanitation workers to tackle this situation. If there are more dustmen, they can collect rubbish regularly. Furthermore, City Council should replace current bins to increase the size of dustbins. So that, overflowing can controlled.
