Some people like to keep a record of their own experiences by uploading pictures and other information to social-networking sites. Other people prefer not to create such records. Which approach do you prefer, and why?
Ancient people have used different ways to record their daily life or experiences like painting on the caves' walls or engraving
on stones. By keeping this kind of experiences they can convey lots of information to the next generations. Nowadays people
also keep their memories and experiences in various ways. With the growth of technology people also are interested in keeping
and sharing their own experiences by uploading pictures and other information to social-networking sites. But in my own life, I
prefer not to share such records on the social platform. In this essay, I am going to explain my reasons to support my opinion.
First of all, I prefer to preserve my privacy. As people share everything on the internet about their memories, they put their lives
in front of others' sight. When you become public to people, others will talk and judge more about you intentionally or maybe
unconsciously. As I am an introverted person in my life, I will suffer that people know everything about me. I think it would be
better for me and people who have a similar style of life to keep their distance from social networks. And privacy is the most
important thing in everyone's life to have a healthy life mentally and emotionally.
Secondly, I believe that sharing information will influence others in both good and bad ways, but mostly in the wrong way.
Since people are tended to follow others which they see around them without questioning them, it would be better not to share
personal records. Personal things that people experience might be good only for themselves but not for other people. For
example, I experienced the same thing in my life. When I was a teenager, I always wanted to travel on my own and my parents
did not allow me. When I see other people who traveled with their friends, I became depressed and isolated. The thing that we
could not see in the pictures that people share, is the circumstances behind them. We usually do not know about their family
structures and just judge their appearance of life with our inside life.
To sum up, as I mentioned above, I know there are advantages and disadvantages come along but the disadvantages
outweighed. Comparing our lives with others, influencing people, and preserve your privacy is just one of those disadvantages I
could explain in my essay.
